Strength in
flexibility
By buying a Nor-Mær facility you
invest in the end product of constant innovation and years-long
testing. The cage systems are flexible in several ways. As pliant
structures they are seaworthy, as modular systems they can be put
together in many ways. They are solid and stable and have a long
lifetime. Operation is straightforward and effective all the
time.

Nor-Mær Environmental
Systems
The Norwegian coast has one of the world's harshest
climates - a climate that makes great demands on both man and
equipment. Nor-Mær Environmental Systems is built for these
conditions, fully able to cope with the worst that weather brings
while affording its operators the highest possible degree of
safety.
A singular idea It took many years of work
in constant response to tough requirements for a cleaner marine
environment to develop the Environmental System as it is today.
Since the beginning Nor-Mær has pursued perfection guided by the
feedback and advice of its customers. This singular idea - to take
customers along step by step on the way of product development - put
Nor-Mær in the leading position we have today.
How it works A double set of unimpregnated
nets mounted in the cage system is an integral part of a Nor-Mær
Environmental System. One of the nets will always be hung to dry on
special supports. When marine growth begins to infest it, the net in
the sea is quickly and easily exchanged for the net that has been
hanging to dry. Two men handle this in one hour and without physical
strain with the help of winches specially developed by Nor-Mær for
the job. In this system there is no washing and waterproofing the
net. Growth dries and falls off while the net is hanging. This adds
up to zero effluents of environmentally-hostile
chemicals.
